Why does OEKO-TEX certification matter?

Why does OEKO-TEX certification matter?

International standards in sustainable textile production and their importance for customer health.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is an internationally accredited certification confirming that textile products do not contain substances harmful to human health.

At Nurpak, every product undergoes more than 100 tests for chemicals and heavy metals. This means that a towel in direct contact with your hotel guest's skin contains no allergenic or carcinogenic chemicals.

Certificates are renewed every year and audited by independent accredited laboratories. All stages of the production line — from yarn to dyeing, from weaving to packaging — are covered by the certification.

OEKO-TEX is a voluntary certification; however, many hotel groups and buyers, particularly in Europe and North America, request this certification from their suppliers.
